Aberdeen High School Class of 1968
I graduated from a small college in Missouri in 1970 with an AA Degree. Moved back to Maryland and after working several jobs, decided to play my drums for a living and have some fun. For the next three years I played in the Baltimore, Philadelphia and Annapolis area performing top forty music.
In 1977 I pursued a job with the Department of Defense where I spent eighteen of my twenty four years as an Artillery Tester and Tank Gunner. One of the highlights of my career was a five week stay in Cairo Egypt where I was able to explore the pyramids and Egyptian life.
In 1984 I was awarded the second highest Government Civilian Award ( Heroic Act Award ) for preventing serious injury to my coworkers and saving an expensive artillery weapon from being damaged.
I retired from the Department of Defense in 2000 and decided to pursue other adventures. I still ride my Harley Davidson which just turned twenty years old and still play the same 1964 Ludwig drums that my parents purchased for me at age fourteen. I also ride a Replica High Wheel bicycle for exercise and participate in parades.
